DIY Mask For Soft Hair

Maple syrup is a natural remedy for dry or super dehydrated hair. Use this recipe once a week and your formerly brittle hair will come to life.

Ingredients:

Pure maple syrup
Honey
coconut oil
Wide-toothed comb
A shower cap or Saran Wrap
Preparation:

Mix 3 tbsp. pure maple syrup, and 1 tsp honey in a bowl.
Microwave for 15 seconds or until mixture is melted enough to stir together. Mix in 2 large spoon fulls of coconut oil.

Let cool enough to touch.

Apply mixture to hair, combing through to ends using a wide-toothed comb.

Put hair in a plastic shower cap (or Saran Wrap).

Find something to do for 20 minutes that involves not leaving your house.

Rinse in the shower and shampoo.

DYI Deep Conditioning Hair Mask

1 ripe avocado
1/2 cup coconut milk
3 tsp olive oil
1. Mash the avocado with a spoon until it’s a smooth paste.
2. Add the coconut milk and olive oil, stirring rapidly to make sure they mix well.
3. Warm the mask in a pre-heated pan for about 20 seconds. Apply to your hair from roots to ends, massaging it into your scalp.
4. Leave on for at least 30 minutes (overnight is ideal) and shampoo out.

Ingredients:
2 bananas
3 tablespoons of mayonnaise
1 tablespoon of olive oil
2-3 drops of lavender oil (to reduce smell of mayonnaise)

Method:
Peel the bananas and puree them in blender
Mix the mayonnaise and olive oil together with the bananas
Apply on your hair and leave it on for about 30 minutes and wash your hair with lukewarm water
Save left-overs in an air-tight container and refrigerate

Homemade Hair Steamer

It is also said that when the scalp follicles are opened by the steam, the hair will grow faster.

Things You’ll Need

1 hair turban towel
1 bowl
Thick gloves
Plastic cap
Hair dryer with hood

Instructions

Saturate your hair with a moisturizing conditioner or a natural, organic oil, such as extra virgin olive oil or virgin coconut oil, and place a plastic cap on your head.

Place a turban towel in a microwave-safe bowl of water and microwave it until hot.

Put on a pair of thick gloves. Remove the hot towel from the bowl and wring it out.

Remove the plastic cap from your head and immediately put the turban towel around your hair. Put the plastic cap back on. If you feel the plastic cap is not tight enough, wrap a satin cap or scarf around your head to lock in the heat.

Sit under a hooded dryer for 20 to 30 minutes.

Remove the caps and turban towel. Your freshly steamed hair will feel warm and soft.

Rinse your hair with the coolest water you can stand to close the hair cuticles and lock in the moisture.

Instructions
